Daylilies & hardy hibiscus
I visited The Lily Farm in Garner, NC today. It is quite overgrown; in fact, more than half the rows were blocked off by ropes. There was a "closed for renovation" sign on the rope.

That said, the folks were very helpful and informative. It was kind of fun facing the challenge of finding what I'd noted last July but DIDN'T buy. Smiling

I bought these, and have BIG clumps of most. I watered them well when I got them home, and I'll pot them tomorrow.

Top row: Which Way Jim, Pink Peppermint, Jedi Dot Pierce & Special Moment
Middle row: NOID - a heavily veined orange-red & Yazoo Elsie Hintson
Bottom row:
Sultry Song, NOID - a big VERY diamond-dusted peach, Moonlit Masquerade & Alabama Jubilee
Thumb of 2020-06-15/MrKGDickie/ba5235
(These are all my pics, from today or last July 7.)

I got all ten for less than $100. Considering the size of most of the clumps, I think it was money well spent.
Hardy hibiscus are a hobby, but daylilies are an obsession.

I am waiting on one plant to complete my spring 2020 orders. I was told about three weeks ago that it would be shipped now that the weather has improved. I am excited to see one scape on Stabia this morning in a pot. I better move it closer to the middle of the old well cover so that it won't entice any wandering deer. nodding

I could not pass on the Floyd Cove private sale. I ordered the following:

Going Big Time (3 fans)
Matthew Weldon ( 5 fans)
Marilyn Monroe (4 fans)
Rings of Triton (4 fans)
Shock and Awe (bonus)

I was not expecting a bonus on the sale plants but they are very generous.

My Schreiners order will arrive the second week of July. I may ask them to hold until fall when the weather cools down especially with the postal delays.

@Hazelcrestmikeb, how did your Schreiners order look when it arrived?

Same here Mike, the foliage was yellow and wilted, but the roots looked good. I think they were sent via UPS rather than through the postal service. I ordered the following:
The Band Played On x2
Power Surge x2
Blaze On x2
Total Opulence
Disco Music - Bonus
Bee Dance - Bonus

@MrKGDickie -- I'll be looking forward to seeing what your Brian Mahieu seedlings look like as they bloom! I got some from Gilbert Wild too, and some of them have started blooming. I am in the process of photographing them -- I will post pics. later this summer.

@pat236. I noticed you received an extra bonus from Schreiner's. This year I had 2 orders and didn't receive an extra bonus with either except for Disco Music which they said would be included in the sale order. I did receive plants with more than double fans. Did you? Not that I really need any more plants but they did say bonuses.
Last year I received an extra plant in both of my orders so in a way I felt they made an error but didn't think it was right to ask them where my bonus was. Whistling
Mine also were not in the best condition on arrival, but bounced back after soaking & planting. I cut a lot of the extra leaves off I think it helped or at least I didn't have to watch all those leaves turn brown & die for the next few weeks before new shoots came out. Blinking nodding

@DaylilyDazzled, I received at least three fans with all of my plants and with the bonus there were four or five fans. This was my first order with Schreiners, but when Bill Maryott was shipping, I would get as many bonus plants as plants ordered. Bill was very generous with his bonus offerings, often asking for a list of choices. I didn't feel comfortable offering a bonus list to Schreiners because they did not ask, and I do understand a bonus is just that...a bonus.

I'm surprised you did not receive any additional plant because Disco Music was offered by them, and NOT considered a bonus.

I'm sorry I've been so out of the loop! Very few of my "Mahieu spiders" bloomed...and the ones that did weren't spiders. 🙄

I have got several orders from Schrieners. Most contained extras, some did not. Perhaps it depends on who is packing the order. A couple of the extras were intros and others recent intros. Almost all the plants have been 3-8 fans. I'm well satisfied with the plants and the beauty of the flowers.

My last Schreiner's order did not contain a bonus, but there were extra fans. I ordered two plants, BEHAVE YOURSELF, and MIDNIGHT AT TIFFANY"S, each had four fans...which I consider as a bonus. So it seems, sometimes you get an extra plant and other times, extra fans as a bonus.
