Paul Black has created a very different-looking blue iris in Multnomah Falls. Even the buds looked "different." I love
the opulent falls!

I have it. Got it last July. This is its first bloom in my garden. I noticed that the first two blooms each lasted only one day, which was disappointing, but the third bloom is lasting longer.

It's lovely, but has anyone else noticed short-lasting blooms in this iris? Or maybe it just needs another year to gain strenghth?

Now here it is a year later than my last post, and despite the fact that almost all the other iris I have gotten since July 2019 have flourished and are blooming, Multnomah falls is down to one fall, and doesn't look like it will bloom this spring. I'm disappointed in it, and may cull it after this bloom season.
