I know there is a classified section, but I hate packing and shipping, it's expensive and a hassle and doesn't always work well. Besides, going to the post office in a pandemic is probably not a great idea if you don't have to, so I thought I could start a local-ish plant swap thread? Is that okay? If it's against the rules, mods can close thread.
I have stuff that needs to be rehoused. 3-4 small yellow trumpet vines, 2-3 years old. tons of wild-type orange day lilies. Purple queen Wandering Jew Tradescantia pallida cuttings ( they're pretty straggly from being inside all winter). Rooted spider plant babies, I also have 6-7 clematis jackmanii.. They are small. A piece of vine trailed through the garden last year and rooted all over, and I'm not sure how easy it will be to dig them up, because there is a stone wall, Rose bush and peony nearby which will get "root priority" when I comes to digging but I'm willing to try it.
There will probably be more stuff as time goes by.. I really want to try rooting hydrangea.. although I already have tons already, so I'm not exactly sure why I'm dying to try it... I guess because everyone likes them.
Let me know if you'd like any of these. They are free for pick up in Yonkers NY. Just let me know when you're ready and I'll leave them outside.. If you have something to trade, I'm always interested.
