Cal, in response to your query:
Hand cart is usually used, one with stair climbing ability, though sometimes we move them by hand, depends on the distance. There's at least 9 or 10 giant pots stored over winter in the basement, 17 to 22 inch OD range, the largest holding 2 cu ft of soil over several inches of styrofoam pellets.

Here's some Gloriosa Lilies from yesteryear -

1st up - Gloriosa superba 'Rothschildiana'

I agree with Kim.....what a display.

Thanks for all the pics, Jack.
Is there a special soil mix or chill necessary?
I've had a few, and they really are eye-catching, but never
seem to multiply. Any tips for growing them?

How does the hand cart climb stairs? I could use one like that!
Are the styrofoam pellets to keep the soil in or keep it from getting too wet?

@EscondidoCal
Soil used is Miracle Grow. No chill needed.
My cultural notes are at bottom of this page - Gloriosa Lily (Gloriosa superba 'Rothschildiana')
Mine usually double every year. Had so many, gave tons away.
Styrofoam pellets added to be sure the pots drain well and to reduce weight
This looks like the stair climbing hand cart we use:

That cart looks like a back-saver......way cheaper than
back surgery. I may get the 330 lb model.
Thanks for the link. Thumbs up

Little baby frog in our grass! (He's one of the tiniest frogs I've seen. Just compare him to the small blades of grass.)

Love little Kermies. Big Grin

Several times I've started to water a pot, only
to have one pop out as if to say, "Hey! Watch it!"

We had lots earlier in the year, just a few now.
Amazing how loud those little guys get looking for love.
