A Canadian garden catalogue (Vesey) has this one listed.
The foliage turns red in the fall?
Does anyone have this peony?

Found this reference on my first try. Apparently is sold out for this season. Will try another source.

Hollingsworth $20

Adelman $18

Google 'paul m wild peony' and find several vendors. The 3 mentioned are the only ones I recognized. None mention red fall foliage.

Ah! Thanks---don't think I'll order it as I already have several red peonies.

Peony foliage color in fall is more a relationship to length of season and other factors related to where and how planted rather than cultivar. Some cultivars will change color more frequently than others but most will be bronze and orange colors than red. Tree peonies are more likely to show color. Have not taken a picture of this years foliage but already one has changed color to a reddish rust. Will have to check label for name.

Picture is two Oukan tp's as you can see one has changed color, the other has not. If foliage holds to November both will take on coloration.

Caroline, Vesey's isn't reliable for proper descriptions and shipping the plants ordered. In the past year 3/4 of my order was WRONG! And when confronted about them I was told " YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE THAT COMPLAINS" and I told them the Lilium speciosum album they sent was a hybrid and not the species they asked what colour is it? I said white, their response was " SO WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM?". It's a good place to stay away from!

Ah! Thanks---that was just a marketing ploy!---to call foliage red!
