In looking at the various pictures. Some appear to be in shade.

I would love to have a Clematis but have always thought they require full sun which I do not have.

It is really lovely regardless of its solar requirements,.

It's in part shade in the middle of the afternoon.Only gets full sun in the am til about 1 / 2pm And blooms it's head off LOL

Maybe I will watch for it in the spring. I am way over committed with just the plants I have now.

I do love seeing yours and the others who have put pics into the database.

I can add that it's a plant that does for itself just fine. I added one to my yard this spring and it's grown several vines 4 to 7 feet long, without regular supplemental water...even through this year's nearly rainless spring and summer.

I have mine planted with the bottom in shade (under a park bench) and the middle in part shade (north side of a slatted wooden fence panel). It does have space to get up to some sunlight. Smiling
