Yep, just got 3 big pots planted with red fountain grass, herbs and gazania, have a few tomatoes to put in and am rarin' to go on re-landscaping my backyard.

Mostly trying to keep 200 plus pots of plants alive till it really cools off. I bought a 4 inch stock for a large pot and put a nasturtium in a hanging basket. No big projects right now.

Your pots sound like they will be colorful !

I think I put my weather report on the wrong thread. Somewhere else people were talking weather. Sorry ...

My fall plans for my plants/planters is just to get them ready to survive the winter. Not too much to do with that.

Guess I need to move some of them to a more sheltered area and do check some of them into the little greenhouse 4X2X5'

and hope the weather is not as bad as could be.

Too bad we can't just meet somewhere half way in between these temp extremes.... hmmm....

Yep, the pots should have some color, which is good - right now, with a brown house with darker brown trim, decomposed granite yard with only Palo Verdes to break it up, well - I'm about browned out.

But we just planted 8 trees - a Cordia bosserii, three 'Desert Museum' Palo verde, a thornless Mesquite, a Catalpa, a Chilopsis linearis "Bubba" , so more color with those, too!

I agree about being browned out. What is it out here with everything being painted the color of dust and dirt ?? I have lots of colorful Coleus and maroon colored Red-leaf Hibiscus so a portion of my yard has a fall look.

How exciting to have room to add all those trees. I am not familiar with that last one.

LOL, yes you are, I know you are. Chilopsis is a Desert Willow, and Bubba is one of the newer cultivars that have few-to-no seed pods. It has also has a deeper pink bloom, like the "Lucretia Hamilton".

Ah well, at least those dusty colors make our luscious plants stand out all the more!

They do indeed make our colors stand out. Sounds like a really pretty tree !
