This combination of the azalea with the tradescantia is so beautiful. It would make a great plant combination submission, even if you don't know the precise ID of the tradescantia. A much appreciated breath of spring for this northern dweller Smiling Hurray!

It was, of course, not a planned combination, but I agree that it's quite nice. My guess is either Tradescantia virginiana or T. ohioensis, or perhaps a hybrid.

Thanks for the suggestion; I'm not quite sure how to do that, but I'll see if I can figure it out.

The nice thing about spring in the north is that it really does seem to 'spring'. Here, it just gets warmer, and this year, we had very little wintery weather.

Thanks for the Acorn

@scvirginia
An apt phase from your post for my belated response.
"I'm not quite sure how to do that"

Until very very recently, I was clueless about keeping track of threads I'd started. I'm backtracking now and leaving BLTN reponses to some that I let slip through the cracks.

I did manage to see that you submitted this as a plant combination (and I still love that image), but I snooped and saw that it's the only one you've submitted so far. Sad Maybe another one when another spring rolls around? Spring bulbs? Spring wildflowers? Smiling
