I love the curious little wrens BUT they can pick some inconvenient places to nest. Just now I noticed 2 flying in and out of a hanging basket on the patio. Darn..took it down to look...no actual nest but center is kinda dug out..no eggs. Basket was on the dry side so watered it well and hung it back up. Guess I'll have to watch and check and discourage egg laying..would really hate to drown babies if eggs were laid and hatched. Sigh...what's a wild bird Mommy to do🤔

My brother in law had an old pair of boots on his carport which he used cutting firewood. A pair of wrens built a nest in them, so rather than destroy the nest, he went out and bought a new pair of boots.! Thumbs up Hurray!

In the past wren has nested under the top of my propane tank in other plants, the grass catcher of the lawn mower, in parts boxes that were being used and on a window ledge in my shower. Fun taking a shower while the babies were being fed. Yup...gotta love the wrens😂💜
