Anyone else feel like you're being held prisoner in your own home ?
They're even flying helicopters along the beach here telling people to get off the sand and the bike path.
On Friday I had to go to the shop that repairs our window screens. When I pulled into the back parking area a cop was behind me. As I got out of my truck, with my mask IN HAND, he says to me, "Hey ! WHERE'S your Mask ???" I showed him that it was in my hand and that I need to wear my glasses when I drive and wearing the mask makes my glasses fog up, and I replied, "Where's YOURS ???" He didn't respond and just drove off.

$5.00 a dozen for eggs...………limit two dz. per customer...IF they even have them.

One of my sisters died three weeks ago and she still hasn't been cremated. We can't hold a service or gathering.

My cantankerous cat keeps looking at me like "Don't you have somewhere you need to be all day anymore ?"

Oh, Mike.....I'm so sorry to hear about your sis.....life is very hard lately.

It isn't difficult for us to stay home since it's pretty much the way we live anyway....and we do appreciate it since we have no positive cases in Del Norte County at the moment...there were two that are now 'recovered'...so I do like things being shut down, motels, restaurants, etc...and I'm not happy about the LA Times publishing a short article on the remote town in NorCal with no virus. Most of my time is spent working outside, reading or online....big problem is our tiny library is closed.... and I'm annoyed that I can't get the mat board I need, but I will live with that if it keeps us safer right now....

The surprise is that the nurseries are doing good business and the guy who fixes Rebecca's riding mower is selling a lot of mowers and doing good business also...and apparently, Annie is maybe doing okay also.

Again, I am really, really sorry about your sister......stay well, work in your garden...that's where I find my peace....and joy....and summer is really welcome up here....
I could be wrong...
and.....
"maybe I should have kept my mouth shut....."

I'm sorry to hear that, Mike! You're LA county, and closer to the beach, so that makes a difference. I'm finding things getting a little better for shopping. Timing is everything! Mid- day on Tues. or Wed. seem to work best. The rest of the time there's housework, gardening, walking, and reading in between three times a day PT exercises for my lower back/hip. Just got to remember to put on the mask BEFORE you leave the car.
