Yeah I wish we didn't break our systems here, manure and straw and the like are great inputs, but they becomes nothing more then garbage when certain herbicides are used. I understand the farmers wanting to produce a quality product but there needs to be improvement, using something that doesn't persist in the environment would be great.

Actually, I'm very happy to read this! That means that if you want to expand/multiply an iris variety then provide high nitrogen. If you want it for display do the exact opposite. Tom you already went through this experiment. Thank you all about your various insights. Quite a few dots inside were reconnected. Yay Hurray!
