I snapped this picture of a plant I'd like for my shade garden. It was planted in a demonstration shade garden without a tag and I thought it was Jacob's Ladder so I didn't take the time to ask anyone about it. But now it seems like it's not Jacob's Ladder. It was about 2-3 feet tall. Anyone?
Thanks for your reply! It didn't appear to have any flower buds, so I don't believe it blooms in the fall. However, whilst researching toad lilies I stumbled upon Solomon's Seal Variegatum, and by George, I think that's it! Thank you for the tip!
It's definitely Solomon's Seal - a great shade plant. It blooms in the spring with tiny white pendulous flowers. I have this plant in my dry shade garden in zone 6B and it is one I would never give up!
