I finally got my journal and what wonderful pictures. I can see myself going over this one several times.

On the Pete Harry website you can see the one they were going to name for me. It's now called Takes My Breath or something like that. I was there the day it first bloomed and Frank said he'd name it for me. When he sold the business I figured the deal had fallen through and am now waiting on the one David Kirchhoff is going to name for me. Pete called last month "just to be sure it was still OK" to name his after me and I was horrified. We thought about it a bit and decided it was best he name it something else. I call it "Not Leslie Mauck".

I got my copy with the mail yesterday. I wish can't wait to see the rest of Ludlow Lambertson's spring intros!

It's called SIMPLY LEAVES ME BREATHLESS, and it looks like an incredible flower! Too bad he couldn't have named it something like "FOR LESLIE" or something -- then you would have two of them named for you. But what an honor to have even one named after you!

I just looked at his introductions again, and I'm taken with MY PLACE OR YOURS with that double serrated edge -- love it! In the description he says "It cannot be stressed enough how a clear white self-color enhances the eye and edge colors." But do you think there is any chance that it really is a white color, rather than a yellow, cream or beige color? I would really love to find one with a pure white background. What do you think?

I'm thinking the coloring of MY PLACE OR YOURS would probably be similar to that of HERE LIES BUTCH. In the shade it looked like a white background color, but in sunlight you can see the true background color.

The name MY PLACE OR YOURS is reserved by Curt Hanson according to the AHS database and is the name of one of his published spring 2012 introductions.............

I know a lot of times the hybridizer will list a name as "pending AHS approval" so I'm sure this is the case. I couldn't find where it says this on his site, but I know others have that stated on their site when they add new ones and if the name is already taken then they change the name to something else.

EYELASH VIPER is stunning. That's the one that really caught my attention. Would love to add that but I'm sticking hard and fast - no plants until I move. My 'want' list is going to be 54 pages long by then!
