Finally got the fall planted fava beans harvested. Did pretty well! Got 5 pounds of shucked and shelled beans in the freezer for our effort.

WOW! Gina, you are amazing. You don't live in an easy place for successful gardening, and you get really great crops. Big congrats. Those beans look very good.

It's a long time investment, but such a joy to watch them grow and bloom. Oh, the blooms have a wonderful fragrance, too! Hypnotic. I was surprised of their scent... earthy floral sweet. They overwintered.

I have Spring planted beauties that now need staking.... I'm growing them seed this fall.
