I have her book, R is for Roses. I especially liked her entry for the letter H, which was Heritage. Her description was spot on.

Last night I was watching a show on TV of competitive cupcake bakers. They should have a competitive floral arranger show.

Those shows depend too much on clashes and temper tantrums. Flower arrangers probably are too polite to get high ratings.

You're right. I'm usually rolling my eyes by the end of those shows. But I have a weak spot for cupcakes, so I couldn't help watching it last night.

I am having trouble picturing anything competitive about a cupcake.

Phenomenal! Is that a hookah on the last one? And a dish of dates or figs? Is all of the decor marzipan?

personally, I think that these cupcakes are blasphemous & the creators should be drug out to the street & doused with a bucket load of icing.

Why?

Creating cupcakes so adorable you'd be afraid to eat them. Cupcakes are a gift from the Gods and should be devoured at any chance given.
