When we moved to our new house I let the ducks free range like they did at the old house.

They have more room here but insisted on eating my tomato plants down to nothing Grumbling

They have acres to roam on and eat bugs and what not but no they hang out in the back yard and eat my tomato plants. Sad
They are muscovies.

No matter what I did they would eat them.
Why would ducks eat nightshade plants Confused

Guess when I get my orchard going they can be part of that system.

Did the tomatoes make them sick? I had always read that anything nightshade is so bitter to animals that they won't bother them. I was blaming rabbits for eating my tomato plants--wonder if it was wild ducks and geese?
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.

hazeleyes: you may need a duck psychologist to solve your problem.

Sounds like eating tomatoes is only a small symptom of what you may be in for.
