Lots of rain here already. I'm worried about a couple of leaning trees that probably should have been removed after Michael but just couldn't bring myself to do it because I had lost so many. Hope I don't regret it 🤞😯

Some tornados last night, the tornado sirens woke me up. Did damage in Orlando and College Park, but all good here. Saw tree limbs down on my walk this morning, nothing major, just cloudy here, rained all night but hasn't rained since I woke up this morning. We are heading north this afternoon, hopefully the rain clears out by then up there.

I have been hearing things falling in the forest around our house. The rain has been pretty relentless. But its making all the plants look pretty lush

We're about 2/10 shy of 5" now. It's still raining.

It just stopped but radar looks like we could get spits & spurts for a while still. I have no idea what the rain gauge says since it's dark now. The max. it holds is about 5.5". The marks end at 5" but there's unmarked tube above. I'll have to see in the morning.
Looking at News 4 Jax they say:
So much rain fell along I-10 that all lanes near mile marker 273 west of Live Oak and I-75 are closed due to flooding.

Flash flood warnings extend from this area eastward into Hamilton and Suwannee counties until 11 pm.

Breaks in the steady rain are lifting northward and rain should taper off tonight.

We totaled 5.1".

Looks like a lot more coming after lunch today. I am picking a bunch of not quite ready tomatoes to let them ripen in the kitchen. If I leave them on the vines they will surely crack from all this water.

Driving yesterday on I-75 no rain until Palm coast, lots of standing water in ditches, but Florida needed this, nice to see the creeks and retention ares full again, fill our aquifer back up. Hasn't rained here in St. Augustine since 3 yesterday. Beach cloudy and breezy, nice.

Well Sherri how are the Datil Peppers there in St Augustine??

25 miles sure makes a difference, it rained here on and off all afternoon and evening yesterday. We already had a downpour this morning and more is on the way. Hope you have good weather for the rest of your visit.

Rain, rain go away!

Well we're back and had a wonderful time, so glad we didn't let the weather deter us, we had a two hour pour down one afternoon during the hot part of the day, husband took a nap and I read my book, inside camper of course. Lots of clouds, but lots of sun too, which we appreciate the clouds, our old skin can't take too much sun. Weird thing was no mosquitoes at all, maybe they spray there Tons of shells on the beach.
