Dry, but when they are growing new leaves, never dry, enough food and water--- GOOD DRAINAGE is the biggie. Some folks pot into gravel and have good results. Lots of sun, and they like it hot.

That one actually is really nice and they had LOADS of them at Lowes about a year ago. Someone (I suspect in Thailand) obviously grafted a bunch of those.
I actually found some lower clay pots in a supermarket and it was supposed to be some kind of bowl? dish? plate? I am not sure.
Was not glazed but had no holes. I made some.
Now 3 Adeniums are planted in it.

Flea market find! This grafted double bloom beauty was in a very small pot so I went ahead and got it a new home. The one stalk looks to be the root stock and I will remove it later on.
