Hi and thanks for this great resource. I purchased a beautiful Purslane with pink and white striped flowers... looked like peppermint. Was in a small plastic hanging basket. I repotted into large basket, and mixed in a slow release fertilizer, as I have always done. Two weeks later, only a touch of white on edges of flowers. Is this because of the fertilizer? Because it is getting more sun than before? Or are they known to just revert as they age? Is there a way to hold the variegation? Thanks!

Welcome Algood Welcome! Welcome!

What beautiful Purslane but I can't answer your questions because I don't know. If I were guessing and that is all that I'm doing, I'm wondering if the broken colors are hybrids and they revert back? I don't know.

Hopefully someone much more knowledgeable than I will come along and answer your questions. Thumbs up
