Good news about Dream Sequence--this is the second bloom:

Dream Sequence arrived in 2018, and evidently didn't like where it was planted. It was moved last fall so it seems to be happy now. So, it wasn't a four year wait, it is starting third year.

Probally is Lydias Regal Robe. They are sitting next to each other. Avedon i would wait more than 4 years on some of these beauties. When you pay hard earned cash on something you are hesitant about getting rid of whatever it is. Lol
I agree with moving cultivars that arent happy in their location. Some just dont like there neighbors. I have moved several that wasnt doing well now they are happy happy.
Loving what i am seeing way too many that i like to comment on just one or two or ten.
Just keep on sharing.

I also have learned over time to keep plants for at least three years before passing final judgement on them, and sometimes it even takes them four years to settle in and mature and meet the registered stats. I have been culling out some plants I have had for several years and replacing them with newer plants with better stats. Some of the new ones settle in right off and do super, others just seem to take a while to adjust.

I think it takes three to four years before plants really show what they are capable of doing.

I thought from the name that was a Dan Hansen plant, I think that is the best photo I have seen of 'Diver Down'.

Found this Day Lily stem snap and fallen all the way over to the ground today. So I stuck it in this old beer bottle full of water & brought this inside. This will likely be my first Day Lily seen, Blooming inside our house

This is an unregistered daylily from Olallie that they sell as "Early Bird".


This is Earlybird Sunshine from Megan Skinner. Everytime I see "Earlybird Cardinal" makes me a little mad, as I think Megan was putting the Earlybird prefix on her E's and EE's before they started marketing those others. And since it's at least a week before Stella blooms here, Megan's are really the early birds catching the worms.
