I went to a local nursery that takes very good care of their rose stock. Their prices are a bit higher, but you get top notch plants and great service.

Anywho, I've now added a very full "Geranium Red" and equally stocky "Souv. de la Malmaison" to my collection. Both were in 5 gallon pots and will be in the ground probably tomorrow. Too hot right now. :/

Toni, we've been pushing 90+ days already. An early summer for us. Sad

Nice, Carey. Geranium Red is hard to find.

Both are roses of some historical significance, and I'm sure they will be happy in Austin.

Zuzu they had a GR in a 10 gallon pot that was probably 10+ years old. I would love it but I'm not sure it would do well in my beds. That would be a lot of backfill! lol

Steve I've found that the OGRs seem to be a little happier in the yard than most. The hybrid teas all seem to suffer in the hot sun more than the others. The DAs have been having issues already, and morning sun only is a tall order at my house. :/
