Madame Julia Correvon is growing into a nearby shrub like I had hoped.

Inspiration still producing blooms. It is growing near a sprinkler head that I have to dig up. Hope it will survive.

Beautiful, Anna. I always love your photos. When you post them early and late in the season, however, I'm always puzzled until I remember that you live in Texas. Your name always makes me assume I'm going to look at photos of a garden in Canada. Big Grin

Thank you for your encouraging comments. After a long hot summer , Texas get a reward! I remembered to fertilize about a month ago so I think that helped. As well we had a couple of good rains.
You probably figured out that I was born and lived in Canada up until 20 years ago. Still is "home" in my brain, especially since my family and friends live there.
violacea,violacea,violacea...Hopefully I can remember that next time! Thanks!

Can't wait to see them. I had a friend over looking at the garden. She wasn't as impressed with the clematis as she was with the passion vine....which I have to agree looks beautiful growing over an arch.

Gotta get me one a those. I'm all ears! Always thought they were too delicate or fragile for this area until I saw them growing 'wild' at my company's previous location. So exotic looking to be so tough. Smiling

I grew one this year, as an annual. They are sold cheaply at a garden store around here, so I'm not even going to try to save it over winter. It was lovely. I had it with white clems.

In Texas, passion vine height x width are infinity! I bet that combo looked nice.
Debra, if I find a start I will save it for you.

I love this clematis. Fries crispy every summer, bounces back and sets blooms again every November/December. First time I have let it wind up around the Rose of Sharon tree.
