In conjunction with the Choctaw thread, I wanted to pick another semp to start a new thread along the same lines. So, I would like to pick something that lots of folks have so they can participate, if they want.

Here is my "short" list of semps that I would like to do the comparison on.

Red Rum
Round Midnight
Grammens
Frost and Flame
Gingerbread Boy
Heart of Darkness
Killer

I have :
'Killer'
'Frost and Flame'

'Grammens' is somewhere in the mail.

You choosing fairly available color changers?

I would love to join, but my legit plants are only a year or less old and some still in a stressed state. Good luck setting up your science experiment.

I am also open to suggestions. I am happy to work with anything that I have on my plant list.

I have a few on the list that I received recently. Also, I have one or two that came across country labeled. I will send photos of those as well. Of course, if someone thinks they are mislabeled, then I can NOID them. Sounds exciting.

By the way, I just thought everyone on the west coast had just about one of everything. Rolling on the floor laughing Just didn't think Choctaw would be so rare in other's collection.

Here is my thoughts on comparison threads, if we stick to just one cultivar per thread it will be easier to keep on track and also easy to search for. It also will show up in the database under the semp entry, just under the photos, the 'Discussion threads about this plant'. Hen and Chicks (Sempervivum 'Choctaw')

I think I will go ahead and start a thread for Killer. It is pretty well established and it got the most "votes". ie, 3 people have it, not counting me.

We can always start more threads for more plants.

Good idea Melissa.
Be sure to give a date range, say within a week, of when you want the photo taken. Thumbs up
