Thread OP

Hello,

I am looking for a bit of insight from some those of you that have experience. i have no experience and looking to build my first greenhouse. I live in Northern California, US. Temperatures go as low as mid 30's and as high as 100 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the year. In my master bedroom, I have a french door that leads to a deck in the backyard. The deck is 16' x 11' and is on the east side of the house. I am looking to build the greenhouse on this deck, attached to the exterior stucco wall. The deck is raised off the ground approximately 14 inches. There will be full sunlight other than early morning and mid afternoon.

I did search the forums for these answers and I found some that were similar but not my exact situation.

I am wondering if the humidity against the master bedroom wall would be a serious factor. I am not looking to alter the wall in any way. If it will not work as is, I can move the greenhouse without issue. There will be no other windows or openings other than the french door. Are there any other concerns that I may not be factoring or considering? I can provide additional details if requested as well.

Any help or input is appreciated!

Thank you.

Hi @Flexo55 and welcome to the forum Welcome!

Don't know if I can be of much help since I have no experience with home attached greenhouses, but humidity against a house is certainly a factor. If no one comes along with better advice, perhaps speaking with a contractor might be a good idea. I would think stucco would suck up the moisture.
