Is there a thread in here about different uses for old windows? If not, does anyone have anything they can post to show me what they've used them for? Getting 13 double hung windows replaced today, I'm going to keep them from our 58 year old house. They don't have any divider panes but I'm sure I can make something out of them for the garden. I've done a websearch and seen some ideas but I'd like to see yours too if you have any.

They can also be used to make a cold frame or to cover window wells for the same type of purpose. I'll see if I can find the picture.

I've seen them replaced with mirrors in the garden and hung on walls. They are so pretty. Maybe others will show you what they have done. I'll find a way to direct traffic over here.

Sandi, if you Google Images: ' Garden art with old windows', hundreds of photos will show up, lots of neat ideas from greenhouses to hanging frames for planted pots, backs for a potting bench and lots more.

I thought I had responded to using old windows in the Garden - but I'll try one more time.
There are three gardens - mine included that have used windows in the garden. Here is a picture of mine

the next is a garden that was seen in the 2008 AHS National here in Houston. This garden belongs to Boone Keeling. Great idea about using windows

the last picture belongs to the garden of Mike & Susan Peppers also in the Houston area. Sorta a play on Boone's display
