It is a very bright bloom! I was looking at a DEVILS TONGUE yesterday and noticed how green the bloom are. Is that normal? They almost looked dyed. I was in the garden center buying a bag of Cacti mix, I am planning or repotting several and putting them in a large dish.
Hmmm.... I just did a Google Image search for "Devil's Tongue" and didn't end up with any green flower pictures, but a bunch of yellow peppers! Do you have the latin name? Common names can be so confusing.

Here's is another first time bloomer for me! For awhile I thought I have effectively killed this succulent, looked too dried out and crinkled from the top...ah but this Lithops is a true fighter! I will update the photos as I see it display the bloom formation. Makes me want to do a very happy dance knowing it is actually surviving its first year here
