Actually took this picture yesterday. First actual bloom from a rose that's at least a year old (don't classify roses that I've put in this year as first year). This is Theresa Bugnet (can't do the accent marks).

I have buds on a few others, mainly my minis. Heinrich Karsch is just LOADED.. probably will have a billion blooms in about 2 weeks with him. And of course Austrian Copper is loaded down too. But I have some others here and there... this warm trend this weekend is really making everything GROW! I've pruned everyone in the front, now I need to prune in the back.

Austrian Copper is waking up as well. I'm hoping to have a good flush of first blooms next week! But here's AC. I think this usually starts to bloom in April, not June. Can't say anything, though.. I still have lilacs blooming everywhere! My mulch got blown around with the bad winds we had this past week.. need to remulch that area.

Still don't have enough blooms to qualify for a parade, so here's some more from this morning (& yesterday?)

Cinco de Mayo (new rose this year)

Rio Samba (new rose this year.. heat's destroying it!)

EDIT: This is NOT Rise N Shine.. that one is barely starting to bud. This is "Sunbeam" as I found a Kordes tag on it & after going to their website & figuring out what it is.

I believe that this is Internation Herald Tribune, but I might have it mismarked.

and some of my columbines. Here's Denver Gold. This is my largest columbine.. they stand about 3' tall and the flowers themselves are about 4-6" long.

A white columbine (only 1 I have)

I got a bunch of irises last year from the Colorado Iris Society, but forgot to label them. Oops. But here's a pretty one that's blooming now.

3 more for this morning, but these are all new roses for this year, so they don't really count. LOL

Fun to see new roses, I have a few this year. I love how Rita had those tall yellow columbine among her iris, I think I will do that too!
Is that an accurate coloring on Shreveport, pinkish? If so, it's not correct as it's an bright orange.

Sue - to be honest, I'm not sure!! Zuzu can fill you in more with these particular roses being mismarked (Orchid Masterpiece). I too thought that Shreveport was supposed to be an orange rose, but that is true-to-color (cloudcover this morning gave my phone a really good shot.. bright light is SOOO hard to counter!!). Shreveport is from the same distributor as that mystery blue/mauve.. and that one is labeled "Oklahoma". But Shreveport *does* smell wonderful, so I'm not complaining too much, even though I don't care for the pinkie roses. I can make it a NoID.

Well, yes, it does look like it's another NoID one then. Glare
