I have been trying to grow this one out of seeds...and failed.

I also love this plant, but it proves to be hard to please unfortunately!
I've never tried it from seed, but bought it twice as a young plant, it never came back the following year, whenever I see it for sale again I want to try again, the plant is so enchanting I cannot not resist!

Many of the commercial packets do not contain fresh seeds.
It is best to save seeds from a plant in your own garden.
I am getting good germination in a winter south window.

I've never heard of this plant before but saw the photo and I'm amazed! I'm going now to look at more photos and the database...this could be dangerous! haha

I just found a maroon flowering one on Wikipedia! oh oh! Meconopsis manasluensis they're lovely!
