It looks like some of my koi got busy this spring. I haven't really decided what to do with these little ones. This particular pond has a lot of good muck (the debris on the surface is dust from a wind storm), and possibly enough natural food to get them to the crumble feed stage, so they've got a good chance of making it there to the end of the growing season, even if I do little to help. Their parents are 18" or so--I'm not sure if they'll eat them, either. I've raised plenty of koi fry, but always from reputable breeders, and never in mixed tanks or ponds.

Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, "In this world, Elwood, you must be" - she always called me Elwood - "In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant." Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me.
