Lyle: That deep orange seedling is just up my alley. All the colors of the rainbow it seems, yet few deep oranges crop up. Nice to see something different....Parrots of the Carribean is on my must have list if I can ever get it from a rust free garden at a reasonable price........My Filipina Bride (Maryott) was pretty this year. Although she had some mild rust issues mid season she later managed to shake them off and is clean now.......Maryl

We were moving the sale pots around today to make more room for the 2012s we are dividing and there happened to be a pot of MYSTIC IMAGE that hadn't been sold so I snagged it. I love working over at James Hall's because I can pretty much pick and choose what daylilies I want when we are dividing since I don't actually get paid to be there I just pick the ones I know I will use or want to use for seed setting to sell (I'm not greedy)

I love GOD SAVE THE QUEEN although it doesn't show it's teeth to often for me here

It is such a pretty thing.

God Save the Queen only shows a few teeth for me, but it was new this year.
I don't expect it to show teeth that often though. Fortune's Dearest is an older one
with teeth that I have had for years, and I may have seen a good set of teeth on it 2-3 times.

I really want Marilyn Morss Johnson. Everyone give me the low down on it before I go out and pay way too much for this one. Does it set pods, pollen fertile, loads of buds, good scape height, bloom early, multiply like these darn mosquitos??? anything else you know about it????

I don't have it, but James does. It does set pods and the pollen is good. It didn't get to the 30" height here, but I'm not sure if it was moved and just didn't want to or if it needs to clump up first before it will get to the registered height. I would say it blooms early-mid here and it does not multiply like a mosquito, but it does at a decent rate. I will be using it more next year.

God Save The Queen is one of the best parents i have used for double edges ...

Mona - MMJ is a nice daylily and will make some nice kids..

I think James is sold out. You should add it to your want list on the LA, it shows up there. A DF will probably be pretty pricey since it's actually a 2010 intro even though it was registered in 2007. SF on there go for $75-$150 (the $150 isn't in the closed auctions anymore but I know it has sold for this). There was a DF that went for $77 back in July, but that's rare.
