I got to meet Rucky and his lovely wife, C today. They were so warm and welcoming! I really enjoyed our chat. Rucky and his wife are the type of people where you could sit and chat for hours on end and laugh a lot. Rucky has an amazing garden and wonderfully gorgeous river view from his home. And his adenium collection is something else!! So many of them were in bloom. What a colorful sight! I could tell much love is put into growing his adenium and all his plant collection. He has build greenhouses to protect all his lovelies. If you are a plant, you are luckyto be one of Rucky's

Thanks so much for the adenium, cacti, and to C for sharing her beloved Christmas cactus with me. I am so excited to watch them bloom. Thanks for all the information on my Baby Addie. Now I know I need to have patience with my baby to let her thrive and grow on her own time.

I've always said Plant People are the greatest bunch and Rucky and C are right up there!! Hurray!

~Cheryl

Looks like I have three seed pods so Cheryl you'll have plenty of opportunity to start some more seeds soon. One should be opening real soon it is on my Blackfire DR but only got one side the other side shriveled up and fell off. And then of course the double one from the sister plant I gave you and now I have one on my Super Platinum. I can't believe that at a time when I don't really want to start more plants because we are planning on moving I get a bunch of seeds so I'll be sharing some again when they hatch.
My hunting trip went well now its off to Virginia for Thanksgiving. thats about 6 days driving time and I'm already tired in fact I'm so tired I'm re-tired. as soon as I get back from Virginia its back hunting again then back to Virginia for Christmas I'm going to do my part for the economy by buying lots of gas... Thumbs up
Ron

You really don't want me to give up on the seed thing, do you? LOL I feel I have "wasted" 60 or so seed lives already. Sad Gardeners are going to start calling me "The Seed Murderer". Maybe Santa will give me the Seed Green Thumb this year. With your help and expertise and a little something something from Lowe's, I might have a little seedling success? Have a safe road trip and Happy Hunting, Rucky!!

OK Changed plans not going to Virginia until Christmas time. I don't think I'm ready to make two 2800 round trip miles a month apart so we opted for Christmas only. But Cheryl don't give up on the seeds I killed a ton of them when I first started Wilfred sent me double batches and I ordered some and killed them all I promise you I will get you set up for the next batch. So you will have success and I also want to give you some of the little ones that I started somehow they are surviving pretty good so hang in there.......Ron...... Melissa Thanks and I understand about not traveling too far but when what you have to look at close is as nice as I'm sure it is where you are then why go anywherreThumb of 2012-11-16/rucky/053ee4

Don't expect the seed pod to ripen too soon, I have 2 that are over three months old and still not ready.

Same as Jim to everyone! Have fun when you can!

And remember, you cannot add DR flowers to a salad. Not tasty at all.

My trip was wonderfuf Hetty, thank you, it was a week with a great visit with family, and the flight went very smoothly compared to the last time I went.
Sat we had over an inch of snow and by 4pm it was gone
