Can someone id this plant? I bought it at a plant fair and forgot the name of it. It grows very tall - my sister's plant is over 5' tall. It roots extremely easily just by laying a stalk down and covering it with dirt. I was told it was a form of spinach with edible leaves. Butterflies love the flowers.

Looks like a Celosia .... possibly C. argentea spicata: Wheatstraw Celosia (Celosia spicata 'Cramer's Amazon')

http://www.google.com/search?q=Celosia+argentea+spicata&hl=e...

edited to add another link and correct my spelling.

C. argentea var. argentea is also called Lagos Spinach and the leaves are eaten as a vegetable. Maybe that's what he meant.
