I bought 2 daturas and received a freebie brug. It was late in the season so she decided to include it. I got 3 blooms(2 seed pods) on one datura and the others didn't bloom before it was getting cool. I decided to put them in pots(about a month) and bring them in for the winter hoping to keep them alive. The brug has dropped all leaves since I brought it in. The 2 datura have dropped some. Is this normal? Can I keep them alive over the winter indoors?

I have never kept Datura in the house, it comes back every year even after the winter freeze, Brugs I bring in every year they do fine, they will stop dropping leaves.

Hi Peg, I brought in my datura start this year. It grew but only to about 6-7". So rather than let it freeze and struggle to come back in the spring, I brought her in. She sits in a sunny window and doing nicely. There was some stress from the climate change but it looks as if she's over come that and I see some new leaves.

Thanks Cheryl, mine have dropped all their leaves. One has grown back a few and seems to be doing ok. The second one the top kept dieing back but seems to have stopped so it will be a wait and see. The brug dropped all it's leaves but still looks ok. Smiling Peg
