I've had a Spilt Milk hosta for 3-4 years, does not seem to be thriving, curious as to what conditions you may have your's in that are doing better. Thx

This is my third time with it. First time the plant was pure green and it was replaced. I do not know if the first is still around or not as I added it to the mixed front garden . The replacement did not overwinter. This is the second year for the one in the back garden where it gets much more sun then the others did. It was coming up nicely but died to the ground during the late frost we had. Looking ok now but I thought it would be bigger and new leaves show very little markings hoping for a year 3 leap. Wish I could find one with a decent amount of white, more like my Milkmaid.

I might have to move mine if it does not get larger. Internet has sizes all over the place with some saying 14 inches and some over 2 foot. You never know if some sites are including flower scapes in the sizes.

Dug the Spilt Milk today, the roots looked great(no vole), decided that the hostas in front of Spilt Milk were out competing the Spilt Milk. A First Blush and Cool as a Cucumber were in front and are fairly rapid growers. Moved the Spilt Milk to the front of the garden, we shall see.

I've had a hard time keeping this one alive and happy. I had a beautiful one several years ago that just didn't come back one year... I now have a liner that I've been nursing along for a few years. Markings aren't that great, so it may disappear from my gardens. I'll give it one more season to see if it improves.
