Janice,
I am thinking this is not the correct cultivar. It's a brand new intro from Bill Maryott, he wrote on his website that it wasn't for sale until late this season plus your image does not look anything like Bill's, including the description "Orange with diffused red eye. Silver ruffled edge." Bill usually breeds round shaped daylilies.

Do you have an idea what your image might be?

LOVIN' TENNESSEE was given as registration plant to Region 10 meeting attendees in Chattanooga this June by Bill Maryott himself. If it is not LT then he brought the wrong plant. I would describe this as orange with red eye and silver edge. Now this was blooming in a pot with close to 100 degree temps during that time.

That sure is beautiful! It reminds me a lot of 'Tennessee Afterglow':

Really a totally different color palette than TN AFTERGLOW, which is a lovely DL indeed.

I think I will email Bill and see what he thinks. He can at least tell me if the bloom varies a lot in color and edging. Thumbs up

Janice, just heard back from Bill (I think my initial email back in Oct. must have hit his spam filter) and he said "Yes, that is Lovin’ Tennessee. Plants simply look different in different areas. We have a very cool coastal climate and they have a rather severe hot climate. The plants tend to look different. I can tell from the pattern and coloring that it is correct."
Thumbs up
