Hi all! I live in zone 5, northern Illinois. I bought a rose bush on impulse and honestly wasn't paying attention to the species. It may just be a double knockout, but that doesn't ring a bell. Can you help identify it?
Thanks in advance!

Oh, how pretty but, sorry, I do not recognize it. Have you tried going back to the place where you bought it?

Unfortunately, it was the garden center at my local Meijer store, and once they're out, they're out. The teenaged boy Manning the register has no clue. I'm getting feedback that maybe it's a double knockout rose.

That's probably what it is as that is usually what places like Meijer carry.

See, the issue I have with it being identified as a knockout rose is that the red ones always look dark pink, whereas mine is red, red, red.

I agree that your rose looks redder than I have seen Knockouts to be; it also seems to have more petals. However so far I can't offer an alternative suggestion.
