I must have been sleepwalking this morning, because I could have sworn I posted a belated thank you to all the suggestions above. Geez, Louise, I know I did! Oh, well, I do appreciate the input, although my list has reached proportions that will never be fulfilled!

I will have to check out the cuttings cubit when the forsythia start blooming here. I will have lots of Austin's Wildeve, and possibly some others. I will try to root some, but will have some left. I will probably want to trade for "something else" until I master rooting.

Sorry, was a bit off topic. I am currently trying to pare down my coop order for Chamblee's. I got a couple of roses from them last year - Belinda and Grenada (to keep their mother Tiffany company), Westerland and Souvenier de la Malmaison (my first of hopefully many antique roses.)

So many roses, so little space, so many rocks.....

Well, I bought only 2 roses during the co-op, a DA "Molineux" and Musicale (Bucks?). I don't think I have good luck with DA roses.. Molineux never survived the transport (the USPS squashed the box and everything was crushed). Musicale survived pretty well & looks like an actual rose bush and not just two dead cane sticks like poor Molineux. *sigh* Maybe I'll order it from a different company for the 2011 year.

Does Roses Unlimited carry it, Toni? Their big sale should be happening some time this month.

that's what I'm going to do... I love RU a little too much. Smiling I only lost 1 rose out of all of the ones I got last year, which is fantastic.. the last one, Tempi Modern croaked w/the last freeze (I thought I had enough mulch on it.. apparently not Sad ). I will be seeing if they have other roses on their list available.

Thumbs up

Toni, did you get any roses from their $4 sale last year? I bought some from the half-price sale and then some more in the second sale. One actually was mislabeled, but it's so gorgeous, and it only cost $4.

It's supposed to be Lorenzo Pahissa, but it certainly isn't. I have no idea what it is, but isn't it amazing?
