Don't envy you having to shave Bill....would scare anyone. Hope I never have to shave DH. Thoughts and prayers to both of you.

So sorry you are losing your favorite nurse. Wonder if the dogs will get used to the mattress moving around like that?
Will continue to remember you and Bill in prayers .. hugs coming your way too. Group hug Group hug

I have been off in the weeds as I have been pushing to finish a family book with a photo album. It sure does take time to get it all checked, rechecked and checked again. It will be a treasure when/if I get it finished. This is only a small volume that I will be trying to finish the ancestors when this one is put out to print. How's that for making much ado about nothing?

Your challenges and your continuing courage in facing them leaves me feeling a bit foolish at times. I am such a complainer about the small stuff. I would have had a real problem shaving Bill. I spent a few months in nursing when I was just out of high school and remember having to shave someone for surgery ...eeech. I did not cut them but it was a close thing. It is good that Bill wanted it. I suspect it did make him feel a bit better too.

Do hope all goes well this weekend.
Fond Regards.

Sounds like an interesting project,Marilyn.
Bill did feel better after the shave although it took a lot out of him. Been a rough weekend. Put a roast in the crock pot this morning...hopefully the good smells will help Bill's appitite. We shall see. Shrug!

What a great idea!!! "They" say aroma therapy is a real help. Maybe you should throw some pumpkin pie spice in some water and simmer it. Again "they" say it is a favorite of most men. But then again it might be a promise without proceeds :-)

Maybe a little pumpkin pudding if you have pumpkin or canned pumpkin in pantry.

Still praying and thinking of you....

Gin,

Please eat, it is so important you keep your strength up as well as your spirits. I can only imagine that it is sooooo hard, but as Ann says, we are all here to pray and encourage you. Has something happened, other than the inevitable decline, to make you feel so bad? You certainly have been through a really, really rough time and it sounds that it is beginning to wear you down.

Have you looked for you silver lining today? Just the ability to get online easier than it used to be could be counted as a good thing.

I wish it were possible to let you know how much we care for your heart break. You are special and loved by a lot of people.

Will be hoping for a bit of respite in your cloudy days.

In times of great stress I know it is hard to eat. Everything (no matter how tasty and appealing to others) seems like chewing sawdust and it is just as hard to swallow it, but Marilyn is correct. We are here for you and praying for both you and Bill.
