Thread OP

Hello,

Someone gave us a very small branch of this plant and we planted in this pot. It keeps growing beautifully. We were told it is some type of a herb but don't know the name. Can anyone identify this plant please?

Thanks!!

Welcome! to the site and to the forum, @greenmoon! I don't know what plant it is, but it doesn't look like any herb I've seen.

I ran it on a plant id software, and it seems Plectranthus amboinicus, known as "cuban oregano" or "mexican mint". Should be a starting point.

Welcome! @greenmoon mint family plants have a square stem. Your plant has so many common names it rivals my rootbeer plant. https://garden.org/plants/brow... plectranthus amboinicus is now coleus amboinicus, but the link will let you see more versions and the other names this plant goes by.
