Thanks for the names. I know so few and am thing to learn. I'll
do a search for them.
JR put a google search link for alocasia and colocasia. I went
there and was amazed with dozens of them anad all so pretty.

There are three of the triple brugmansia open and looking better.
they are just datura size, which isn't bad - just smaller than I thought.

Are your Brugmansias indoors? Hoping so or they will be nipped tonight.

Yes, I moved the last two inside on Saturday afternoon.
They were the ones in large 16" pots. I still have a tall
bell pepper plant with 5 or 6 peppers on it. I think I'll
try to find a spot inside for it. Also, a 3' plumeria and a
5 gallon bucket with rose cuttings. I may try those in the
workshop (unheated).

Good going ~ it sounds like you are ready for the cold.
I'm sure you are enjoying the fragrance of the Brug blooms indoors.

Tee,
Aren't you the person that I promised fig cuttings? I took
five cuttings yesterday, prepared them and planted them in a
recycled clear container into a mix of potting soil and perlite.
They are on the top of my refrigerator because it's warmer there
than in my garden room, which it set to only be around 55 degrees
at night. We had our first 32 degrees last night - white frost on my
car and on the meadows.

I'll post a new picture of the schlumbergera when it is in full bloom.

I will be able to see the roots through the clear container
without disturbing them! This is the first time that I've
tried rooting figs indoors. I'll be interested to know if it
makes a difference. I don't have a warming pad for seeds,
etc. but may buy one. I hope the frig. works ok.
