Plants are an integral part of our natural heritage. Among other things, they provide us with food, shelter, fragrance, and beauty. They also provide us with a surprising number of active ingredients in the medicines we take.

We could not live without plants. With the destruction of the rainforests, we will probably lose (have already lost?) many precious plants that could possibly save lives with their medicinal properties.

Thanks for the reminder that we need to thank our plants!
