My heart hurts for you, Gin, but I also know the fear and the dread have lifted from yours.
I'll be with you today and the days following in spirit, and you know we're here when you need us.

Thank you for sharing this painful journey with us.
And thank you for letting us glimpse inside to see the goodness of your soul.
Rest in peace, dear Bill.

Medical supply came and got the equiptment this afternoon and I had to put the dogs out. Bear so broke my heart...he sat and looked through the glass door the whole time. As soon as I opened the door to let them in he went straight to where the hosp. bed had been and sniffed all around. On the plus side though he did eat both breakfast and dinner today Hurray! Hurray!

All ya'll have been wonderful...Bill felt it too. He thought it strange to ask for cards from people he didn't know, but he sure enjoyed them!!! Real hugs are the best, but cyber hugs come really close as does cyber love. Group hug Lovey dubby Group hug to my family here. You all helped both of us along the short, but hard road and I know you will continue to do so for me Smiling Smiling

Rest In Peace Dear Bill.

Live In Peace Dear Ginger.

Bear will be fine. Dogs are better at this than we are. He's putting it all together now. And then he will accept.

We will still be holding your hand tomorrow at the funeral home.

The trip to the funeral home was rather "interesting". I was told no funeral until 3pm, so any time prior was fine. My friend Jackie went with me...needed to know that there would be laughter in spite of the sadness. Well laughter there was. We got there before 11am and they were about to start a service!!!! Not funny, but it was what it was. We had to walk through the overflow mourners THREE times AND hear what was being said!!!! HELLO...talk about a very poor layout for a funeral home Glare Glare "Short creepy" was the one who handled the paperwork...while he's answering MY questions and explaining things he's looking at JACKIE NOT me??? Shrug! After all was completed and we were headed home we lost it...much laughter...guess it was one of those "you had to be there" moments. Jackie said "Short creepy" was better suited to a horror movie instead of an old western. Please don't think me flip here, but one really must find the smile where they can. Crying

Understand completely! Laughter can relieve the tension in a very good way. The silver lining was finding the smile where you could.

Ginger, I am behind times. I am just seeing that your dear Bill passed away.
It brought tears to my eyes and my heart is crying for you. I want you to know that I did care about your situation and I did pray for you and Bill.
May God give you comfort and strength to go on as only He can do. Much of life we do not understand but God knows our weakness and He will be there when we need Him.
Sending gentle hugs, Oma
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.

Thank you, Oma Lovey dubby

Yesterday I counted out the 120 days until I can get Bill's ashes...beginning of March. While counting I realized that from Aug.31 to Nov. 7 wasn't quite 10 weeks. A rather short journey. And tomorrow will be one week since he died Crying

My silver lining for today...had to run out to do some stuff and left all 4 dogs inside. Not sure how long I was gone, but when I got home I still had a house and no bloodshed Hurray! Hurray! I hope they will do as well tomorrow as I must go to town to get my BP meds and dog food. Richard offered to dog sit, but hey...they and I will have to get used to me being gone for awhile now and again. When I can go see my son I will ask him to come over as I'll be gone all day. I swear the dogs are worse then kids of the human variety!!

Amazing how much "stuff" can happen very fast in hind sight and how long the future seems to be when looking forward.

Your silver lining ... the house still standing .. made me smile. Hope they have the good manners to continue the good behavior.

Lynn, my SIL, calls them "fur children"... Children ..... but good company, right?

Are you going to see your son soon? How is he coping? Is he in for a long time?

Still have you on my mind and heart..... Group hug Group hug
