Hi folks.
I asked a question at the end of a post on another topic the other day and it got lost I guess. Bad on me; it's best to have each post be on a separate topic.

The question that I obscured was about Lachuza plant containers. These are containers with a reserve at the bottom and some absorption mechanism to deliver water from the reserve evenly distributed throughout the container. That's the theory. l'd just like to ascertain what other gardeners have experienced with these pots. They're wildly expensive. My wife has several and I don't get it. What's your experience? This is not an argument we're having, so you're not taking sides. Smiling David

I have one, and I'm not too impressed. It seems to stay wetter than I like even though I have a fast draining soil mix. I have had plants rot due to all the water. I have a feeling roses wouldn't like to be wet all the time.
