I think these photos from katrinarspea are Gatsby Gal, not Gatsby Star, which should have pointed double florets, not rounded single florets as shown. See the photo from Rose1656 for comparison to the expected appearance. I know sometimes double flowers can appear single on young or stressed plants, but this shrub looks fairly well-established and healthy. I strongly suspect this is just mistaken identity due to the similar cultivar names.
