Hi everyone. I recently just brought my established Prince indoors. His new foliage was damaged I believe by the sun and probably the intense heat. He was undercover but here in Miami the sun will find a way. He's now dropping leaves. He's inside under grow lights with other Philodendrons that are not having any difficulties. Any ideas?

Thank You!

Your Philodendron 'Prince of Orange' may have suffered heat/sun stress but it should recover if you've moved it to a shady location. You don't need to place it under grow lights, just a bright location where it won't get direct sun.

Thanks. I think the leaf drop was do to environmental change. Seems to be doing better now that he's acclimated. Looks like a new leaf that's emerging should be unharmed.

Thank You!

Diane Miami can be a tough place for plants like this. I live above you by a whole climate zone in No Central FL and we are actually hotter than you are in Miami (land locked, no sea breeze). We can grow plants like P of O under the cover of tree canopy, with a lot of water. No direct sun, it would cook
