Might this be Lathyrus latifolius instead? Same with your other submissions.

Thank you for noticing the possibility of having misidentified my submissions on the Sweet Peas. I am far from being an authority on this identification, and based it on entering the photos by the common color similarities I found in the Data Base of those two categories. The photos were taken at three different localities and not with any identity tags. Should you find distinctions for correcting their classification, please proceed to do so. I would be very interested as to the detailed differences between the two types.

I'm really just IDing from sight as I've grown both. The main visual difference is the size of the the lower petals. Other differences include life cycle (L. odoratus is an annual, L. latifolius, perennial), size and shape of seeds and L. latifolius, though sometimes called perennial sweet pea, is scentless. I'm sure there are other ways to tell them apart but I'm no authority either. Smiling
edited to add: L. odoratus is available in a much greater color range.

Thank you for the details on differences of these two Sweet Pea types. At this point I have no way of differentiating them from the photos, except the way I deduced earlier.
So, again I will rely on your expertise to make the switch if your senses so dictate. I respect that accuracy is most important in compiling a data base and have a feeling you are much more competent in making this correction. I am sure that an administrator will more than likely confirm your findings.
