Miracle Grow & others can't compare...there is a reason its one of the favorites by cannabis growers who want better quality product

Fox Farm is good but can be quite pricey when you need a lot of bags. Miracle Grow and Pro Mix have always been fine for me. Especially when at HD you can get MG at half price for ripped bags.

Ah, the old ripped bag bargain.
I bought partial pallet of such mixed items from Menard's a few years back.
Literally paying pennies for the dollar. I tip my hat to you.

Check Ebay some times, I got five bags of Foxfarm for 65 dollars with free shipping.

I would avoid Amazon though, check other sources.

I'm in western CT and buy from McEnroe's organic farm in Armenia NY if I need anything—their compost is great. Most of the time, though, I mix my own potting soil, using homemade compost (if I have it), vermiculite or perlite, peat moss, and sieved garden soil. It can be tedious to do, but it's worth the trouble, IMO.
Now that the season's over, the used stuff goes into the flower beds.
