Please post pictures of your chrysanthemums this season! General chrysanthemum chat and questions too!
One of my hardy mums is in full bloom. Unfortunately I've long since forgotten what it is called.

My Paintbox from Kings Mums is starting to bud. This is my first year trying exhibition mums. Will soon be time to disbud! Anyone else growing exhibition mums?

It's so exciting! I have buds on my Diane Stokes too now. I hope they get a chance to bloom before the frosts come. Nothing on my Nightingale which is supposed to be be the earliest bloomer of the lot. I think my porch lights may have affected it. I'll have to relocate it if it makes it through winter. Are you planning to move yours inside Melissa? You're in a colder zone than I am. 7a is borderline as it is. I'm leaving mine out and crossing my fingers!

That's crazy that your porch light affected it, but not unheard of.

I am planning on bringing them into my garage and/ or basement (minus Naha, which is more of a garden mum anyway, so might survive being left outside). I'm hoping I get to see them all bloom before it gets too cold, as well. Annie Girl and Coral Reef are poking around, but at least I'll get to see Paint Box and Le Mans.

Can potted mums be wintered in their pots in a garage in the Midwest? It is too late for them to get a good root system now before winter. If they survive, I will plant them in the spring. Our winter temperatures vary. I was able to overwinter cannas in a pot last winter. That would not work every year. Just wonder if anyone has tried that.

Are your chrysanthamums okay Melissa? I saw on the dahlia thread that you had a frost.

What's your zone FainFarm? This is going to be my first year trying to overwinter in my screened in porch. I'm hoping to wrap my plants in burlap. I'm in Zone 7a though. I've been told by several people that most plants should pull through on the porch for me without burlap. Sorry I can't help more.

Mostly I grow singles for the pollinators. This year only returning plants.

I love their late season cheer! Yours are lovely. Do you happen to remember what the last one is called? It's one of my no IDs.

Hillside Sheffield Pink. That is the only name I have out of all posted. The orange yellow one is also a Hillside but I can't find the name.

I got some rooted cuttings of this chrysanthemum from my sister last year and it bloomed nicely this November. The blooms are still hanging on now, but it's time to deadhead it.

Here are photos from last month.

Regarding yellow red chrysanthemum - no ID for it. But I remember Costco selling that type for Chinese New Year about 3-4 years ago.
