Hi Guys today I got some Bean and seeds.
The Bean is 3/4 of an inch in width and 6 to8 inches in length.I would like to know the name of the Bean and if it is edible.

Can you take photos of the plant it came from?

I think your best bet is to grow some of the 'beans' then we can identify the plant.

There's a bean in the second photo. Wait! Does it have a black dot? What am I seeing on the right edge? Black-eyed pea?

Grew 2 Beans seeds from India, to my surprise they are Jack Beans, posting 2 images of Jack Bean plants and 1 image of Jack Beans from Web source.
