Should have added -- maybe three or four feet tall. Leaves remind me of sassafras.

I believe it is giant ragweed, but I didn't know it grew in New England.

Those leaves look *really* similar. On image search they aren't as tall as in the southeast but they really close. There is are sporadic clusters along the Connecticut river.

Maybe the plant climate change diaspora???
